Admissions & Enrollment

PHILOSOPHY AND POLICIES

The essence of the Montessori philosophy is to create an environment that fosters and serves each child individually. Country Day Montessori appreciates differences among students, and we believe that differences contribute to an enriching environment for all.

The school works to build classroom communities that best meet the need of all children. The admissions and enrollment process helps the school and your family to determine whether the Country Day Montessori learning environment is appropriate for your child’s needs.

Country Day Montessori School of Raleigh admits students and parents of any race, gender, color, religious affiliation, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation. We do not discriminate in the administration of our school policies or programs.

Children entering our infant program must be at least 6 weeks old; our Montessori Toddler programs begin at 12 months through 2 years; our Children’s House Program begins at age 3 years through 6 years. Admissions always begins with a private tour and meeting with our Head of School. At this time, you will be able to visit a classroom, see our program in action, as well as learn more about the Montessori Method of education and learning. This is also an opportunity to have your initial questions addressed and answered. During the initial visit, an information packet will be provided that outlines the special Country Day Montessori School approach and includes the forms necessary for the child(ren) to be considered for enrollment.

Please Note: filling out these forms from the website does not constitute acceptance and/or enrollment into the school. An official offer will be made once the Admissions and Enrollment processes have been completed.

To begin the Admissions Process and to schedule your private tour, please contact us by e-mail: info@countrydaymontessorischool.com or by telephone: 919-851-4054 and ask for Georgiana Nderitu.

Once an offer of admission has been made and accepted, all of the forms have been received and the Registration fee has been paid, your child(ren) will be eligible for enrollment. Enrollment is offered on a rolling-admission basis throughout the school year as space becomes available. Consideration is given to the age and gender of the child(ren) so as to create and maintain a balanced distribution in each classroom environment.

Dear Parents: We are happy that you have chosen Country Day Montessori School for your child(ren). Welcome to our community! The information that we ask in these forms is based on the North Carolina Child Care Law and Rules, Division of Child Development, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Please answer completely and with the most accurate information possible. All these forms must be at the school before or by the child’s first day in order for the child to start.

Because you are requested to show proof of identity (original documents) for your child, we suggest you make an appointment with us prior to the first day of school. This will ensure a smooth transition for everyone as well as give you another opportunity to go over any questions that you may have.
